What It Really Takes to Document the Lincoln Fashion Show Weekend.

Look, when the lights hit the main runway at Lincoln Fashion Week 2026, everything looks effortless.

The garments flow, the models glide, and the atmosphere feels like pure luxury. But behind that 15-minute slice of perfection is an exhausting, adrenaline-fueled marathon.

As an ARTographer and a Documentary Archivist, I’m not there to just “take pretty pictures” and flip them onto a cheap gallery link. I’m there to architect a physical legacy. And honestly? It is a massive, grueling undertaking that requires years of specialized grit.

A Year in the Making: Being the Backbone

This single night didn’t just happen. For almost a year, I’ve been entirely behind the scenes—planning, talking, and giving deep strategic insights to Makaylee, the incredible owner of LFW. I’ve proudly been her backbone when it comes to the entire media side of this production, mapping out how to translate the raw energy of her vision into a lasting visual archive.

To make sure we captured absolutely every single angle, tension, and texture, I coordinated a dedicated team of three media professionals. We mapped the room like generals.

By 4:00 PM on show day, the grounding starts. I’m pulling designers and models for boss headshots while the space is still completely still. By 5:00 PM, the chaos hits. The backstage area transforms into a beautiful, high-stress whirlwind of hair, makeup, and urgent coordination. My team, Maria, Gourav, and Kayleigh, are diving straight into that HMU hustle, documenting the raw, unposed tension while Adrianna is absolutely commanding the floor to keep the schedule alive.

The Feeling of the Night & The Human Cost

When the main show finally starts, the room is electric! The bass thumps through the floorboards, the crowd holds its breath, and I am completely anchored to that runway with my EOS R for hours, capturing the cinematic, high-contrast truth of the night.

It is the most beautiful, magical feeling to see these kids and models absolutely shining under the spotlights. But it’s also heavy, physical work. Guests often see us with heavy gear strapped to our shoulders for ten hours straight and expect us to be everywhere at once, forgetting that we are human beings behind the glass. We pour our absolute entire souls, our physical energy, and our artistic focus into this day without hitting pause.

And the work doesn’t stop when the lights go down. Before the show, everyone is focused on ticket info. The moment it ends, the real floodgates open. Proud parents reach out wanting to see every single frame of their kids. I completely love and match that excitement—seeing their kids rock the runway is everything! But many don’t see the mountain of backend work it takes to cull through thousands of frames, color-correct, protect the files, and edit each shot into a masterpiece.

We don't just dump raw files; we curate art.

Two Weeks Out: The Runway is Done, But the Archive Isn't

Here we are, two weeks down from the main event. The runway lights are off, the red carpet has been rolled up, and the initial high of the show has settled. For most people, Lincoln Fashion Week is a wrap. But for me? The real, exhausting work is still happening behind the scenes.

While the main runway and red carpet edits are officially out and live in the archive at https://leaandbenjamanphotography.pic-time.com/kxPA4LPCtkdYN, my desk is currently buried under a massive mountain of media. I am still meticulously hand-editing the VIP arrivals, the intimate before-and-after transformations, the raw backstage chaos, and those gorgeous flower wall scenes.

Every single one of these frames takes time. So when parents and guests hit my inbox wondering where the rest of the photos are, please know I am working around the clock! I refuse to rush this art or just slap a generic filter on your memories. You deserve an archive that looks like a high-end editorial spread, and perfection simply takes time.

Why the Archive Isn’t "Cheap"

This is exactly why my work isn’t priced cheap, and why I will never apologize for that. You aren’t paying for someone to click a button. You are investing in a year of creative direction, eight years of industry expertise, and high-end equipment tuned to deliver crisp, intentional, editorial art.

I am deeply obsessed with the tactile weight and smell of real books and physical, museum-quality prints. If an image only lives on a phone screen, it isn’t an archive.

Every frame I shoot is treated like a custom commission. That’s why the free downloads from the event gallery carry our watermark—it preserves the identity of the documentary archive and protects the integrity of the high-contrast files. Removing that watermark or using screenshots for home prints strips away the quality you deserve and goes against our core contract.

We don’t trust generic, discount print labs to handle our deep contrast and cinematic tones. To protect your image, we handle the printing process ourselves, turning a fleeting runway second into a ready-to-hang, archival heirloom piece complete with custom framing and professional lamination.
