About

Hi, I am Klohe

A passionate photographer with over 7 years of experience in the industry.

Editorial Wedding & Senior Photography based in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Hi I am that quirky girl, klohe! If I’m being real and totally me, id like to start out sharing some honest shiz, I’m probably a lil cooo cooo most days…. It’s a total perk of being a mom of three under seven. My life is a beautiful, chaotic whirlwind, and I am usually fueled by a trip to The Chocolate Season in Williamsburg Village. Pretty sure I am an unpaid influencer there now. Don’t even ask me for my order because it’s super long. Yes, I know I’m basic, but it works. (If you haven’t been there, I will so make you check it out, I’m not even kidding.)

My path behind the lens started back in 2016 at Boys Town. Growing up in the foster care system taught me early on that the photos we keep aren’t just digital files taking up space. They are the anchors of our history. Back then, I felt so limited by “yearbook” rules and those generic stories that all looked the same. My ADHD brain literally doesn’t do generic. It’s wired to notice the raw, beautiful, and sometimes frantic details that everyone else just walks past. I realized I wasn’t meant to just chase a headshot; I was meant to document the “real stuff” that stays with you forever.

I’ll be the first to tell you: I’m a people-pleaser with a side of anxiety. While that might sound like a lot, it’s actually my secret weapon on a wedding day. It means I am firmly in your corner. I know exactly how to create a space that feels safe, relaxed, and honest-af because I know exactly what it’s like to want to be seen and understood. I’m here to make sure you feel like the most iconic version of yourself, not some fabricated, over-posed version of a memory.

I’m also total Type A when it comes to the details. I am obsessed with styling and I’m here to help you through every single step of the planning process. I love making mood boards for my peeps to make sure the vibe is perfect before we even pick up the camera. Between 2016 and 2019, my own legacy really kicked off when I met my husband and we welcomed our first daughter. I know firsthand how much these milestones matter.

I specialize in weddings and seniors because I crave that editorial depth. Those moments deserve the permanency of physical art, not just a dusty spot on a hard drive. If I’m being truthful, most of my own personal images from over the years are currently stuck on a drive somewhere, and yes I have over 3tb in storage because of my obsession with every moment, and I absolutely do not want that for you. You deserve better than a digital file you’ll forget about in a year.

If I’m not behind the lens (or making a mood board), you can find me at my favorite coffee shop booth with a puzzle, a good book, and a very large drink, and I mean coffee! Whether you’re capturing your first archive as a couple or stepping into the world as a fresh out of high school, adult; I’m here to share your individuality in every archival piece we build.

My style & approach

My style is a blend of authenticity, beauty, and storytelling, with a dash of true to life.

I don’t do stiff, plastic poses. I’m here for the grit, the light, and the effortless moments. Whether you’re a senior stepping into the world or a couple building your first archive, my goal is to make the process feel like a two-hour break from reality. Because I deal with my own anxiety and a “people-pleaser” heart, my #1 priority is making sure you feel safe and relaxed. I know that the best photos happen when you feel free to be silly, be messy, and just be you. I don’t do fabricated, over-posed versions of your memories. I create a space where you can actually enjoy the moment while I handle the details.

Being in front of a camera can be awkward. We’ll spend the first ten minutes being nervous together and shaking off the jitters. I’ll likely choke on my words at least once, it’s a tradition! Once we catch a vibe, I’ll be your ultimate hype-woman, making sure you look bad-a** while we chase the flow. My ADHD brain is a superpower behind the lens, (at least id like to think so.)  It allows me to notice your raw, beautiful details that others walk past, or just may not notice. I’m more  interested in the “deep stuff”, like what keeps you up at night and what kind of ice cream you choose every single time. The more comfortable we are, the better your photos will be. Expect music, bad jokes, and a lot of movement. We’re going to walk, talk, and jam out. My priority is making sure you feel safe and seen. As an attempting to recover people-pleaser, I am firmly in your corner to ensure you feel like the main character.

A Note for the Mommas: This is a milestone you’re walking through together. Once we’ve captured those editorial portraits, I’m pulling the parents in for a few shots. You’ll want these photos with the ones who supported you more than you’d think. Mom, your only job is to breathe it in. Bring a tissue, I’m notoriously good at making moms tear up.
