I am basically fueled by caffeine and sugar. Most days, you can find me at a local counter waiting for a latte. While I’m a fan of a quick 7 Brew or Ziggi’s run, our local spots are where the soul is. The Chocolate Season
I am at The Chocolate Season (or “Choco Season” as I call it) so often that they know me by heart. It’s basically my second office. I have my favorite seat and a specific timeline of exactly when to go to beat the rush. If you want the absolute best chocolate in the city, this is the hitter. It’s consistent, it’s high-quality, and it’s where I go to breathe. If you love waffles, this is also THE spot to hit on the weekends Saturday, and Sunday from 8am-1pm. If you want my specific order, the Nutella waffles with Nutella chocolate and strawberries with ice cream on top is the SHIZ.

1867 Coffee and Cream
Over in Havelock, 1867 Coffee and Cream is a total mood. It’s so cute and aesthetic, and the ice cream is actually amazing. I love sitting there just watching the cars pass by. The girls are so sweet—it’s one of those rare spots where I felt like I belonged the second I walked in.
I recently went with a friend and we sat out on their patio; the lighting was just perfect with their white walls and black trim. It’s very aesthetic and cute for the ‘gram. I think she got ice cream and boba, but I am basic and stick with the same old flavors—some kind of iced caramel latte with oat milk for me.
Parking (Know Before You Go): The lot is small. I recommend going early or just finding street parking so you don’t have to stress.
Bloom Coffee
Another local favorite is Bloom Coffee. When I need to get out of the house and just focus, the atmosphere here is perfect. It’s authentic, un-basic, and exactly the kind of vibe I need when I’m working through a gallery.
